Giving back to the community is important to MHK

August was truly a great month for MHK Insurance. We had the opportunity to be a part of two major community fundraising events in Calgary. The first was the 12th Priddis Greens Charity Classic golf tournament held August 11 – 13, which raised more than $400,000 for the Calgary Prostate Foundation. Then, on August 19th, the Presidents’ Charity Golf Tournament was hosted by the Regional Calgary Home Builders Foundation, and more than $140,000 was raised in an effort to provide shelter to children with special needs, low-income families and seniors, the brain injured, troubled youth and the physically and mentally challenged.

At the heart of both of these fundraisers is Glen Gurr, one of our senior commercial account executives who works with our Calgary office.
