Message to Our Clients – Gurr Insurance in Calgary changes name to MHK Insurance

As of February 1, 2011, our Calgary office, Gurr Insurance, will officially change its name to MHK Insurance. And aside from this simple change of name, everything else our clients in Calgary and southern Alberta have come to know and expect from working with their brokers will remain much the same, with even more advantages.

How can we make this commitment to our clients?

Because Gurr & Company Insurance Inc. (which became Gurr Insurance) was purchased by MHK Insurance Inc. more than two years ago to support and strengthen our commitment to our Calgary and southern Alberta clients. And we’re pleased that Glen Gurr, the previous owner of Gurr & Company Insurance Inc., still works with MHK.

So, what can our clients expect as we move forward?

All upcoming renewal policy documents, endorsements (policy changes) or other paperwork that our clients request will identify MHK Insurance as their broker. It’s important to know that as we make this paper transition throughout 2011 with all our insurance companies, there is the distinct possibility that some policy documents may still reference Gurr Insurance rather than MHK Insurance. Our clients can be assured that all the necessary changes have been addressed with these insurers, and any correspondence received directly from us will confirm that our clients are indeed part of MHK.
